About the Event

This event serves as a community follow-up to research conducted by PSU and TAAG, specifically a report on the food apartheid in McKeesport, Duquesne, and Clairton. To view a full copy of the report visit

 TAAG_FoodAparthiedReport_2024. The event will feature two panels, one of which specifically includes stakeholders and community members. The panelists are Raqueeb Queeba Bey, Director of The Black Urban Gardeners and Farmers of Pittsburgh; Jawanna Warren from the Family Support Center in Clairton; Eric Ewell, Consultant and Community Leader; and community members/residents from TAAG’s chapter. Additionally, Laura Weins from Pittsburghers for Public Transit, a representative from Congresswoman Summer Lee's office, and County Executive Sara Innamorato will also be present.
